Backdate Post: Vesak Day

Vesak day - My family "tradition" is to wake up dame early to start our visit to temples.

Usually, my mum would wake us up at the wee hours of the morning and we take turn to brush teeth..wash face...etc. And set off at 6 plus AM.
This year was slightly better as we woke up around 7am...haha..but can hear my mum nagging saying so late.

Lucky the temples were not crowded...if not sure kana scolded up down left right by my mum.
At the last stop, the sky turned dark suddenly and we had to run to the carpark before the rain came strong.

After discussing in the car where we shld go for breakfast.....we decided to go for dim dum at RedStar.

Nowadays, dimsum place with trolleys are hard to find. RedStar has been around for a long long time and it serves authentic Cantonese Dimsum.

Regulars of the place usually are old uncles and aunties who have patronise for years and they usually go around 7 or 8am for tea and baos after their tai-chi sessions.

Once after 9.30am...there will be a long queue. Usually my family will go before 9am to avoid the wait. Many tables consists of grandparents, parents and kids. Think what keeps the place still so crowded is that many grew up eating there and when they have their own kids...they continue to go there for dimsum.

Anyway, its been a long time since my family sat down to have a meal together. Coz my brother's staying in hostel and my dad works everyday. So its nice to have the whole family having dimsum together.

BTW...the egg tarts, har-gao, chicken-feet and spare-ribs are the best!!!
