Had an intimate food tasting with my family and 2 cousins as bf not in sg.

Surprisingly, the food tasted quite good....hopefully Actual Day taste like that also.
Still deciding to change the rice to noodle or stick to rice.

Preparations - Wedding Invites

Yeah...finally settled my wedding invites.

Right from the start, I am already thhinking of customising my own wedding invites as I'm a DIY bride..haha~

But due to budget constraint, I decided to get the 70% provided by the hotel but printing of inserts bear by me. Spent $110 just on printing the inserts.

For my 2nd invite, initially wanted to get a quote from Theresa but in the end, she decided to sponsor it for me. So touched~ Thank you so much for the card. You've improvised my idea till it's really nice and many said it's nice.

Preparation - Ring Pillow

Unsatisfied with the plain and normal ring pillow given by the jewellery shop, I decided to use rhinestones to stick our initials.

Went to Pine Garden during the long weekend with my brother and his gf.
Been craving for their Lychee martini for a long long time................finally....got to eat it...

Bought a few flavors for my parents to taste as am thinking of getting the wedding cake from there.

Preparation - D.I.Y Ang Pow

Decided to D.I Y the angpows for my bridal entourage. As you all know I like doing handicraft.

My initial idea was to use the "XI" stickers to paste on the blank ang pows...but found this stamp with the "XI" and decided to use it.

The blank ang pow packet was manufactured by U-grade...but I had a tough time buying as I had wiped out all the stocks int he stationery shop opp my office...hahaha~

Hopefully I have enuff to go round to my jiemeis and brothers.

Pre-wedding Photoshoot

Finally....have the mood to upload my pre-wedding shoot.

Well....kind of disappointed as the flower I wanted to take have ALL withered!!!!
So...my dear friends....there will be no flowers in my photos...DO NOT remind me of flowers ever.

Don't tell me the railway track is from Tanjong pagar...IT IS NOT...its in Taiwan ok.

Ok...I think you all should have sense my disappointment and unhappiness from the few sentences above. I shall stop here.

Went to have my nails done the night before I leave for Taiwan....haiz...reached home at 1am...faint~
But I like my nails....but then again....for my Actual Day I think I will just done normal French manicure as its very tiring to prevent the crystals from dropping off.

Bought my wedding shoes from Robinson.

Though it might be a wee bit early to buy but I fell in love with this pair of shoes the minute I tried it on.

Now I can only hope it can match my gown...hahahaha~

Preparations - Bridal Package

Yipee~ decided on my Bridal Shop.

A BIG Thank YOU to all my kind and patient and understanding friends who accompanied me to the various bridal shop over the past months.

I have signed up with Jazz Bridal.

What made me decide to sign up with them is the price and their gowns are really nice...heehee~

Preparations - Pre-wedding photoshoot

Took 2 days leave to head to Taiwan to select our bridal shop for our pre-wedding shoot and actual day package.

Did not really went to scout alot of shops. Only went to one in Taipei and spent 2hrs plus there. The next day, we went to Taichung to look at the bridal shops there.

Its tiring lor...woke up early to take the bullet train to Taichung which take abt an hour to reach. Lucky my bf never drive. Driving takes 2hrs plus.

Headed to the bridal shop recommended by his aunty. And after some negotiation and trying of gown, we decided to settle for that shop.

So...we chose Dondis for our pre-wedding & actual day.

After confirming the gowns I will be wearing for my photoshoot in May, we stayed for a night at Taichung.

Next morning, rushed back to Taipei to start on our hunt for the 喜喜 餅.

Tiring trip.

Preparations - 喜喜餅

Have decided on my Guo Da Li (過大禮) 喜喜餅.

After a few rounds of stringent taste tests by my parents and brother.

We will be getting the 喜喜餅 from Taiwan, Maison Kyosai (http://www.kyosai.com.tw/) .
Since my husband-to-be is from Taiwan, might as well get something different.

Actually I wanted to get cupcakes for my Guo Da Li cakes but my mum prefers the traditional ones...that's why....

The pastry from Masion Kyosai is really nice, its light and not too sweet. The salted egg pastry is my favourite...my brother also liked it...haha...the inside is packed full of salted egg yolk which is crumbly when you bite into it. Thinking of it makes me wana eat...haha~
